The severe shortage of tests contributes to the high number of undetected cases in our communities. What makes the situation even more dire is the absence of measures such as close contact tracing as well as the poor enforcement of mandatory quarantine.

Just last week, Malaysia’s test positivity rate spiked to 13%, which is more than double the WHO recommended rate of 5%.
