Malaysia’s jobs-skill mismatch points to a larger issue with the higher learning system.

In the latest interview with TV3’s Nightline, REFSA Communications Director Iskandar Fareez emphasised the importance of on-the-job training as a basis for higher education. This will require greater coordination among stakeholders (e.g. gov – institutes of higher learning – employers) to generate a talent pipeline that fulfil the needs of the job market.
