(DAP) as the Member of Parliament for Bukit Bendera, Penang in the March 2008 elections at the age of 31, this young politician is also a Member of the DAP Central Executive Committee, serving as its international Secretary. He is Honorary Secretary of the Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU) Malaysia Group, and advises the Chief Minister of Penang, Lim Guan Eng, on policy matters.
The present volume consists of articles and commentaries that have been compiled from a host of publications. In the author’s own words, it is a collection of the reflections and views of a humble student of political history, and an active participant in Malaysia’s present movement for change. The overriding and powerful message delivered is that a bright future belongs to the young. Since the older generation of Malaysia has failed to provide for that future, the young have to secure it for themselves.
The articles and essays in this book are arranged in such a way that they reflect the thoughts and ideas of Liew Chin Tong. It is the author’s journey throughout 2003 – 2009.
